Hi,

I have a 4x2x2 reed tank with sps, lps, and soft corals that i have been running pretty successfully for the last few months. Over the last few days, i noticed that some of my zoas arent opening up as much and i noticed tiny white stringy things on them and some of them have actually grown right beside the polyps. i did a search on RC to see how to solve them but its mostly about digitate hydroids and other searches turned up cures using panacur on them or hydrogen peroxide but they also stated that this cant be used in reef tanks and i was thinking of using the peroxide but the hydroids are right beside the zoas. i have tried using tweezers on them to remove them one by one but they just grow back after a few days. they dont seem to be bothering anything else but my zoas.

Just read an article that said many times, a predator is one of the best forms of control for these little monsters. Many of the angelfish will go after them, and butterflies as well. Took me a little bit to find a control method... the article was in German!

hmm are there any recommended types of angels or butterflies? i read online also that they were going to go away over time but its been a few weeks and they still seem to be spreading and growing!

I Had them but after adding peppermint shrimps and a emerald crab at the same time( for other reasons) they had all gone over night.. i wish i could tell you who ate them but one of them did
