Hello,

I was hoping to enlist the help of all you experienced reefers out there. I just bought some rock from Zoalander's tank and I have a creature I have never seen before. I dont want to post a pic if I dont have to. I will describe it first and if no one can tell me I will post the picture. It looks like a fossil on the rock because it has a segmented body, it is about 1/2" x12" with a skirt of flesh that resemles a snail. It moves really slow like a snail and is not afraid to be out in light. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Wes

That would likely be a chiton---old, old design, as you mention. Looks like a trilobite with a skinnier head.

do you really mean 1/2" by 12 inches!!!! wow that would have to be a bristle worm of some sort, but they usually remain in the rockwork until night......... I'm assuming you mean 1/2 by 1/2 in which case I agree with sk8r.

typo on the 1/2"x12...meant to say 1/2"x1/2". Thanks for the input. Chitons are harmless right? This is a new set-ut and I want to do it right this time.
