Need help with ID

These came on some live rock I bought the other day. Does anyone know what they are? They're not looking very good and I was wondering if I should try to remove them from the tank or just let them die off.

Difficult to tell but I would guess dying cloves or xenia. It's a pretty good guess whatever it is (or was) is fairly invasive, so I would scrape them off, don't let the pieces fall into the cracks or it may regrow.

I'd remove them. Whatever they are they're either dead or dying

As above. There also looks to be an aiptasia in the upper right corner of the picture.
