need help with ID

Need a quick ID of my new addition. I believe it's a H. Malu but want to confirm so I put him in the right place. It has a redish foot with blue/purple tentacles.

Only have pics of him in the bag.

thats what i thought, an LTA. Well i put him in the sandbend. Will post some pics after he settles in.

Just to clarify. It is a M. doreensis (LTA), not H. malu.

Either way, it would likely prefer the sand bed.

How can I tell the difference between the two? (H. Malu and M. Doreensis)

May I also add that at the top part of the oral disc, there are purple spots all around. Only saw this when it started to open up in the tank.
