How's the water specs? Do you have a quarantine tank setup where you can try to treat him? I know someone who had this problem and they Q’ed the fish, soaked the food in penicillin, feed the fish the treated food, did small water changes often and then acclimated him back in after 2 months. Just my 2 cents.
