Need help with my dursos please

I cranked up my 225 gallon tonight. This is my first very large tank. I installed dursos. On one side I split off the overflow to feed my skimmer. This is the side that is really giving me trouble. I drilled a 1/16 " hole in the other side and at first it was quiet as a church mouse. The side that I split off was LOUD! I kept drilling the holes larger and larger all the way up to 1/2 inch! I think I have screwed the pooch. It is still very noisy and now the other side is no longer quiet. I am out of ideas. Can anyone suggest something? It would be appreciated.

What kind of noise are they making? If you put your finger over the hole, what noise does it make?

After reading on Durso's website, I think I may have found the problem. He states that certain bends ect. can cause backup and noise. I think I found the problem. Thanks for you help. If this fix doesn't help, I will post again.
