Need help with RBTA

My RBTA , has been up by a rock , but attached to the back glass. Can I put a rock underneath him, so maybe he will attach ? , or if I move a rock by him, will he probably move ?

I would just let him be. But if you put a rock near his foot he might attach to it, no way to really tell. They do what they want. They usually wont want to have their foot attached to the glass that long because they want the foot to feel surrounded or secure like in a rock crevice os something.

Okay . Do you think if I turn the powerhead off next to him , he might feel like he can move more without being caught in a current . Is it easier to move for them without flow for awhile ?

After not moving for months, mine migrated to the glass and up, to get close to the light. I had been having a problem with the lights so it was telling me to fix the problem. After I replaced the hood which was deemed defective, I removed the anemone from the glass with a credit card and placed him back on the rock. There it has stayed. You could try that if you feel comfortable with the credit card method. Where was it before? They often move for a reason.

I got him a week ago and placed him on on some little rocks with crevices .... The rocks with crevices were on top of a flat rock with only one whole in it . ... He didn't move too much , but after a day or two , he moved a little . A foot at the most ... he moved underneath my powerhead . Then I placed a rock below him and he immediately moved down to the rock , but did not attach . Now he's right back where he started , but on the glass

I personally would leave it be. It's only been in the tank for a week and is probably already stressed from transport. Give it time to acclimate on its own and settle in. It may move on its own once it gets settled. After a few months, if all goes well and you don't like where it ends up, you might try to entice it to move by changing the flow... not directly on it but increased so that it'll move away from the flow and into the spot you'd like it to be.

After he has acclimated and if he ends up on a rock in a place you don't want him, and the rock is small enough to remove, just hold the rock out above the water and he will plop right off as he seeks the water.
