I need some major help, my RBTA has something wrong with it. Its all shrunk up and won't come out. Its different then went they shrink up for a night cause they use the bathroom. Its been like this for a week. It moved up on the glass this morning, opened a little. When I came home from work today it was laying in the sand with the tentacles facing down. The tentacles aren't even out. It looks bad, I think it might be dying. I do regular water changes weekly. I feed it some with flake food, but I also have some stuff that I bought soem food from coralife. Every now and then I feed it brine shrimp. Can anyone help me. Its been in my tank for almost a year now.

Do you ever feed it silversides? They need meaty foods. I don't think "every now and then with brine shrimp" is enough. Do you have any pics? Is everything else in the tank doing well?

Everyhting in the tank is doing just fine, I don't feed it silverside. My clowns seem fine. my shrimp is normal, my xenia has been acting wierd for about 2 week now, its shrunk in and won't come out. I don't have any pics right now.

Have you checked your water parameters? Is it possible your bulbs need changing? I strongly suggest feeding silversides, or something similar.

chaned bulbs last week, I need to test my water again to see what my params are, I think it might be to late to feed.

You changed your bulbs the same time the BTA got sick? Or was the BTA showing signs of stress before the light change.

I know its not looking good for the BTA, but don't give up yet. If you can, get some pics.

I'd also recommend feeding your anemone silversides or raw shrimp. Also, did you change bulbs with the same color temp and manufacturer?

The RBTA looked kinda bad before I changed out my lighting, no it was not the same brand, I went back to the OEM bulbs from coralife. I know her site, its pretty good.
