Need help with remote macro display tank

Hi
I am planning on a "planted" sort of macro display tank .Planning on using a 15gTall tank .I am gonna cut a hole for a 1 " bulk head fitting and have it overflow into my sump's return section.

One of my [55g's] drains that comes out of overflow box will feed the 15T tank. 15T will have lights , LR rubble and macro, pods etc.

My question is:

What can I do to prevent macro from clogging the strainer /mesh of the 1" slip bulkhead kit I am gonna use since baffling wont look neat!

A. I can put a PVC (inverted)"T" before the strainer and have the opening in the "T" an inch above so that if main strainer clogs water that rises can flow thru hole.

B. Or shall I drill the hole for the 1" BH and put an overflow box with teeth? Will this contain the macro without clogging or sending macro pieces to the return pump in sump? Is it easy to attach an overflow box?

C. Shall I do option A and cover that corner of the tank with a plastic perforated sheet and stick it to tank corner?

Is there any other idea? thanks  :)

what if you made a little cage around the bulkhead out of gutter guard? Also, you are going to be putting "dirty" water directly into the macro tank. You may want to think about feeding it from the sump return.

I now have a20g planted fuge with LR, pods, various color macros.

Currently have a clip on light.

Getting a 2x24w t5 from someone...

Will actinic help my fuge in anyway?
The white day light...which is more than 6k...is it sufficient for macro to grow.?

I also have option of a 4x24w.. .is this overkill for macros?

Thx
