i just got a slightly used RO/DI system with brand new prefilters how can i check if it works right it puts out a good flow but it seems like it has chlorine still. is there an electronic tester or kit that i could use.
ebay has dual inline tds meters, about 25 bux. They arent the most accurate but it gives you an idea of where your filters are in age. Also being inline, you are more likely to test it often. A handheld TDS meter takes a little more effort.
Get a good handheld TDS meter. Inlines are used as a rough guide only as they do not have the accuracy needed for RO/DI water. If you water temperature and air temperature vary much at all then it will never be accurate, as much as 2% off for every degree C difference in air and water temps.
