need help with sony cybershot dsc-h9

i cant seem to get the colors to show up as they look in person, anyone know how i can correct this with this camera??

any help would be great

Let me guess, they are too blue? I am afraid your camera shoots images in JPEG, as opposed to a Sony version of RAW. Jpeg images are edited in camera and then stripped down of any unused information. That unused information was your true colors. You can try to correct this with photoshop and actually produce decent results with tender loving care.

You will have to play with your white balance settings. Especially if you have a "K" rating, much like the rating on your bulbs. Turn that K rating closer the "1000" to replace the cool colors with warm ones. Since you can not shoot in an uncompressed format (one of my staple requirements for Reef photography), you will have to set your white balance in camera.
