Need help with Tunze Osmolator

I purchased a Tunze Osmolator from another member and I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to fit the sensors to my tank. I have a 46 gallon bowfront. Thus far I have been adding water manual every other day. I also manually add Kalkwasser at night or early in the morning. I purchased the osmolator to make this less of a hassle for myself. Figured I could add Kalk as my top off water using this ATO.

Problem is that I have an off the shelf tank and no sump. I keep my water level about an inch under the rim of the tank. None of the included brackets work very well. Not to mention they are of terrible quality. I want this thing to be as unobtrusive as possible. Has anyone created any custom solution that worked well for them? Anyone have pictures of the sensors connected directly to their tank rather than to a sump? Should I sell it and go a different route?

You could cut a custom bracket out of a flat piece of plastic but yes the sensor has to be on top of the water surface. There is a way to do this with the included brackets aswell if you revearse the clamp and run the long piece up rather then down you should be able to ajust the sensor to your tank water level.

The brackets are not as bad to me because they hold there posion well once ajusted, you just may need to put some small objects between the claw when tighting.

Run the Pump from your top off bin and though your kalk and up to the tank with a U hardend tube.

Hope it works out for you, I love my unit and has been going strong for over 2 years.

Yea I thought about running the brackets upwards rather than down into the tank. My only issue at this point is that the clamp screws aren't long enough. I may have to cut away part of the inner lip of my tank trim to make it work properly. I've got a corner that hides several things and I may stuff the sensors over there as well.
