Need Help with What it Is. Good orBad?

Hi. Saw a post with a similar growth and some thought it might be a sponge formation others a nuisance type algae. If its an algae, i have got it bad but havent seen an adverse affect ....yet? I took a few pics of tank as whole, a pic of worst area of growth and close up of growth. Hope to hear more what it is as its in. 30g tank and very soon i am going to a 100g tank as soon as i finish stand and getting plumbing built and cycle it. Will be moving everything a little at a time after i feel its stabilized

Feather dusters...growth depends on overfeeding.

Yes, those are serpulid feather worms. Population is regulated by the availability of food. Seeing how many you have, you must be a heavy feeder.

They usually go away after a while or you asked your feeding. I only have them in my sump now
