I've been trying to keep anemone in my reef tank for the past 6 months and they all bleached and turned pink...I aclámate them for 1 hour before introducing them in the tank and just place them where I think they will have the lighting and flow they need and they don't move from the first spot I place them but after 1-2 weeks they bleach and shrink [emoji2371] I need advice or most common reason this happens please.
Alkalinity:9
Calcium:460
Magnesium:1250
Salinity:1.024
PH:don't test
Phosphate:don't test

Hey there! Without knowing the rest of your parameters it's hard to help. But I did have some issues with mine recently and it turned out I was keeping it too clean - my nitrates were always at zero. After feeding more and cleaning less they are doing better at around 15ppm nitrates, so that's something to check at least.

Anemones are sensitive creatures. They need stability, like in a year old tank. They need very strong lighting that would also grow corals.

With multiple failures, you should deduce that your current setup is not adequate to keep them.

If you can provide more details about your tank, we may be able to help you figure it out. How old is the tank? What kind of lighting? What other fish or inverts do you have? What kind of anemones have you tried? Did you pick up at your LFS or did you order online?
