Need help ...

I am in the hunt to buy a nice camera .I currently have a Nikon D50 but I am giving that to my brother in the phillipines for xmas gift Basically im looking at this 3 camera NIKON D80, Canon rebel Xti and the Canon Xt. can someone help me decided after reading most of the specs im leaning towards on XTi its 100.00 less than D80 and also 10.1 megapixel.pls feel free to add your experience with those cameras and I have 2 days to buy one. thank you

Do you have any Nikon accessories that you used with the D50? Flash lenses??? I guess that would be the deciding factor to stick with Nikon. If not then you are free to chose all of those cameras are very capable. For me Just holding a Nikon makes deciding really easy, most canons feel really plasticky and or to small. I feel that the heavier and bigger (to certain extent of course) the camera is the more stable it gets. For me the D70s with the vertical grip was teh perfect balance and feel.
And I'm still happy with it even after the D80 and 200 are out.

Thanks for your input. I recently bought that D50 2 months ago and no lflash lenses and whatever comes with it I will send it to my brother... so your saying for a 100.00 difference from the Xti you will recommend D80...

Either one of those 2 cameras would be great. Each one has thier slight advantages, but are very comparable cameras. I would go to a store and play with both of them and see what is more comfotable to you.

OK I end up buying the Canon EOS xti lastnight and I was playing with it and im impress so far. I also will buy the macro lens maybe after the holiday 100fm/2.8 macro lens but dang its expensive .... I will post a pic maybe the end of the week but first I have to do a lot of reading how to take a good shots....

Welcome to the DSLR world....anything you're going to *really* want is going to be dang expensive

Great pics there - I'd work on the color balance to get more realistic color in your excellent shots.
