Need ID con CBB disease

I bought a large CBB about 3 weeks ago. Perfect conditions. I has been strongly harrased by a Desjardini Tang for about 3 o 4 days. After that, it was the turn for the Purple Tang to show who was in charge, this also continued for about 3 or 4 days.

Today, the CBB swims all over the system, no one chasses him.

But about 5 days ago i noticed a couple of white spots on it´s tail. They look like cotton balls !! It´s not ICH, that´s for sure.

Here a couple of pics

Here you can see that he has a perfect side, with no signs of ICH

Can anybody ID this and tell what can i do ? One of my B&W percula also has a big white cotton ball over his eye !!! This happened 2 days ago.

I have a 260G mix reef

Thanks

Looks like lymphocystis to me.

Stress is one of things thought to cause a "flare up" of this virus. It usually goes away on it's own provided you maintain excellent water quality, feed vitamin-enriched nutritious foods and of course, keep the fish in a stress-free environment. Hard to do sometimes, I know.

Thank you very much b0bab0ey. As i stated, today the CBB swims peacefully all over the tank. No one even cares about him. Can i help for this virus to go away quicker or is it just a matter of time ? I soo ... how much time, is normal for the virus cycle of life ?

It all depends on the fish, sometimes it can take weeks or even months for the symptoms to completely go away. I would probably do more frequent WCs and start soaking his fish food in vitamins (Selcon, Vita-Chem) to help things along.

Also, if you notice the Tangs resume their aggression towards him and it doesn't look it's ever going to stop, you might want to consider relocating him to a different tank. CBB are not the hardiest fish and they don't seem to be very capable of defending themselves. IME, they're kind of a sissy fish.

LOL thank you once again !! Will continue soaking his food. I have Zoe and Selcom.

Hope the virus dosen´t affect my other fish !!

I agree with b0bab0ey, looks like lympho to me too. He's also right about the "stress" factor. (there has to be a better word). CBBs just don't do well with bullies, intimidating fish, or just a tank of extremely active fish. Lympho isn't likely to spread; but its a virus and they aren't 100% predictable. It sounds like this fish wasn't in a QT; if so, I'd worry about stuff a whole lot more serious than lympho. Looks like a pretty tank, you sure don't want to have to treat a parasite or disease in it.

Thank you very much Mr Tusk, and agree. It would be a pain in the "back"
I have 5 tangs per total and all of them behave in a different way when it comes to say hello to the CBB. I have allready stated that one of my percula allso become "ill" with this virus.
They all eat very very good and swim perfectly. So let's hope it's a matter of time for the virus to loose it's life cycle.

Hope i make myself undestand. English is not my native language.

All the best
