Looks like little ferns? Nice thick mat of green and blue that looks pretty in the light?

Its horrible.
Pull the rock out, clean the algae off in a different container (with water from the tank). DO NOT try to clean it in the tank. The small stuff that gets loose will only take off in another area, its gets worse from there.
If you let it grow, that whole rock will be nothing but algae in a couple weeks.
If this is all you have- try to chip or scrape away the surface of the rock under it. Bryposis (sp?) is a tough algae to kick once it has a foothold.

It doent seem to grow to fast its been in there for like 3 months now and has gotton only a little larger. No it looks like grass nothing that looks like ferns. I got the rock from a guy that does tank maintence for a living so I dont think he would have anything bad in his tank buy who knows?

Look very close and see if each blade or stand has some fern looking fuzz to it. Look very close!
Looks like the algae I am working on getting rid of.
I have been wrong before.
Let it grow, see what it does. I would still be very careful with it in a nano.

Well, i removed it out of the tank and scrubbed the rock real good didnt want to break pieces off hopfully i got most of it.

Thanks for the info

I don't think it is bryopsis. Does each strand look thick and smooth and shiny? If so it isn't bryopsis but something else (forgot name  ), and it is a slow grower. If you don't like it, just scrub it off.
