Does anyone know what this "cotton candy" is that was on only 1 coral when I got home tonight? Wasn't there this morning. Thanx ...

Its dead. Mucus. Mine did the same thing but the hermits ate it up.

Look's like the stuff my coral gave off when it died..... Sorry was the coral alive before?

:sad2: Thanx guys ... I was thinkin "El Muerte" also ... after I sucked it off, I blew some water and the whole thing turned white ... did not think that was good ... It looked a little 2-tone when I got the rock .... Have another small polyp of tubes that has some white, but it has stayed that way ... hope it makes it ...

I had a big clump die it turned white now its reddish i would hack it off but its stuck to a mussel thats in the tank thats still alive also.

Funny ... mine is on a rock that also has a live turkey on it ... hhhmmmmm
