I found this guy on a coral I bought. He was kinda burrowed into the side of it. His shell is very brittle. I have been keeping him separate from my system until I can find out if he is a good guy. It has also layed a few egg sacks and one just hatched the other day. each sack has about a hundred eggs

Probably going to have to take a pic with an apertural view, with the animal withdrawn, or else get a dorsal shot showing the length of shell (spire to anterior tip), or both, to get this one positively identified.

Cheers,

Hard to get a pic of as he does not move very often, This was one of the few times he was actually out and moving. Ill try though. Thanks

I understand he may be hard to catch, but you really don't want him out and moving for an ID photo, you just want good pics of the shell. Most of the animals look the same, particularly from the bottom of the foot, and if have a white shell with an animal that has a white foot, that's not much to go on. If I could see the shape of the shell, or even the shape of the aperture, I could probably ID it. Does it have a purple aperture?
