Im wondering what those things were they are coming out every where are they eggs?? They look like little seeds

It looks like favia to me. I believe the rule of thumb is if the walls between polyps are shared, it's favites. If they're separate, it's favia. I can't tell for sure from the picture. The care for the two is almost identical, though. Telling species apart is very difficult, and I'm no where near experienced enough to even attempt that.

isnt that what live rock is?

most stores sell rocks that contain bacteria and are called live rock. if your lucky, some of these rocks will have caroline algae growing on them.. at least in my area this is the case with the rocks. live rock with any sort of coral growing on it is unheard of around my area.

like i said favites.give it some time some food (mysis shrimp,2 little fishes zoplan)some love and some time and it will probably turn a killer shade of green or maybe some other color!!

maybe this was alreaady said, but along with feeding, i would also shade it, as i see you have some strong lighting on your tank.

good luck
joe

ok thanks i will keep that in mind i don't really have any shady areas right now i don't have much rock lol at 14 watts a gallon there is not much shade lol

But as for an update!!! Its changing colors!!!!!! The centers are becoming they most breath taking shade of green. Its more green then the green to the right of bob marlys head in JOE's avatar. It look like the outerside of the polys are getting an orange tent!!!!!!

Pics to come

i love getting a coral in bad to so so condition and turn it into my own personal LE lol!the diamonds in the ruff!!

Where do you look?
In Durham, Triangle Tropical has very good live rock most fo the time. I have seen the boxes sitting around after a shipment. They are supplied by Walt Smith for the Tonga stuff and thier Fiji rock is very good too. loaded with Pods, brittle stars, Colinista snails, coralline, etc. There a few aiptasia in there too but the rock is good stuff if you get there soon after a delivery. Even between shipmets if you are picky there is good rock there, and they have the best live rock prices around here.

The shop itself isn't a marvel to look at but they do have good rock and some decent corals, consistently. I can gte large corals and frag size stuff for cheap. I like the place for what it is.

Way to go for the post originator, clean em out. However, my only criticism would be to find out what you are releiving them of before you get it. Would hate to see you get it home only to find out it was Dendronepthea or Elegance or Gonipora or something else that most people stand no chance of keeping alive.

Just my $.02
