Started a 10 gallon a few weeks back and found this on the glass. Not sure what it is and whether it needs to go.

It is a kind of flatworm that eats copepods. That is why you are seeing it on the glass -- it is finding copepods there. Other than eating the pods, they are harmless. Sometimes you will see them "flapping" in the water when they become dislodged from the substrate. People see them more often in newer tanks (when you are more likely to have those pods on the glass,) and their numbers decrease as they eat up all the available food. If they annoy you, you can suck them out w/ some rigid air line tubing while you do a water change.

Thanks for the info. It does not annoy me, actually find it interesting to watch I'll just let it be then.
