Need ID

I am going to rescue this little guy from a buddy of mine before it hits the blender and would like to get an ID on it ASAP so I can get a tank setup for it. I am hoping that just a small tank that I can keep on my desk will work.

a small tank will work for the little guy. im sot sure on the species, m sure it is a gonodactylus, a five gallon would be a good tank for him, and thanks for rescueing him form his horrible death.

I think it is a Gonodactylellus.
Do you have better pics and how big is the animal.

I just can't tell from these images. THere is not enough resolution of the telson to even get it to family. I think it premature to place it in the genus Gonodactylellus since the one diagnostic color character that is usually present in most species, the *****-uropod stripe is missing. This is one of those cases where a guess could be off by a mile, but housing and care are pretty much the same whether it is a gonodactylid or protosquilld.
