Need ideas to mount panels on stand

I'm working on finishing the front of an in wall build. The bottom portion of the stand will have two panels that are 48w x 21 H made out of red oak. I would like these to function like removable panels instead of cabinet doors so I am looking for ideas on how I can attach this so it doesn't show on the front, yet they can still be removed. I know some people have used magnets for this, but I think the size and weight of the panels will be too much, plus the stand is made from wood. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me?

Look up french cleats, might work if there is some room to slide up, depending on how you trim.
Magnets could be supported if you use a couple dowels that would also act as a guide for you, and help keep nice and straight.

The panels on the front of my hood are like that:
The front panels mount to the back of the hood using two magnets per panel. The magnets are designed for wash-down applications and are totally encased.

The strike for the magnets mount on the back side of panels and two poplar blocks support the weight.

The weight of each panel isn't taken by the magnets, they just keep the panel from being able to fall over.

On one side of my stand I built a door but I wanted to be able to fully remove it. I used a 1x2 and put it on the inside of the door so it fits snugly into the frame/stand and no hinges are needed. Works perfectly. You could add the magnetic latches like mentioned above as well.
