Being the meetings are at 2pm which is late for lunch but early for dinner, what kinds of food do u feel should be served. NO filet or Lobster ;) If it were earlier, i wouldnt hesitate to get subs or such, but what do u think? Should i get subs for u guys? or do u prefer chips/dip, fruit salad, cakes, drink, etc? This is not a cost issue, just what is appropriate for that time of the day as not to spoil your dinner?

Thanks and looking forward to having everyone their!

Ben

I'm thinking the boys will be hungry from a hard morning of rock making. and would like to know there will be a late lunch waiting for them?

You might talk to Bryan to see if he is having lunch there.

Lunch... humm...have not even thought about that. We can certinly work something out...

Ben,
As for serving food at the meeting, keep it simple! It is nice enough that you are opening your doors to us, you should not have to shoulder the expense and spending that time trying to feed us too. Munchies, chips, dip, veggies, simple stuff :-)

(I have thoughts about this, but we can bring those up at the meeting)

All sounds good to me, and these topics on the other thread should make for an interesting meeting!

In our Astronomy Club's meeting, we had a small container were people drop change to help upset the cost of the food.

Just a thought.

The club does reimburse reasonable food expenses to the host. I think snacks (chips/salsa, cookies, veggies) are fine. Some hosts get beer (I do), some don't. That's up to you. You could also just BYOB it.

I always like to bring something, Usually try to call the host, let them know I am on the way (not yet lost) and ask if they need anything. They usually do. Looks like a really good meeting this time! Nothing like controversy to stir up the troops.
