need lights for 45 setup

Hi all - my 12 year old, yes the boy that is ill, want to set up a tank- have a 45 gallon tank with stand, hang on Tunze nano skimmer, circulation pumps, but need some lights. Anybody have anything that will fit over this laying around cheap. Dimensions= 36 long and 12 wide. He was thinking maybe pipe fish and coral. "easy stuff" - something tells me dad will be doing extra reef duty. also looking for a hang on refugium for him. Let me know...

I have a 175 mh, hung a little high could probably give decent coverage. Kinda needs a new bulb. I also have a hang on back box with a siphon overflow you could make into a small fuge. I'll get you some pics later tonight.

I have a 250 MH SE ballast, socket, and reflector, but they really don't look all that great, and the ballast doesn't even have a housing. Probably not the best, but if you're lacking other options, let me know.

Here's what the box looks like. I think everythings still there. I had it put together for someone else at one time. You could probably make it into a fuge pretty easily.

Here's the light hanging over the tank I had it on. It's an old light but still works fine. Has a batwing reflector pop rivited inside and a cap and coil ballast.

I have some live rock and some live sand in my shop also.

You may need a bulb. The one in it is about 8 months old. What's the boy want to keep?? I can toss a few softies his way.

He will be transfering some stuff from my tanks to his, no I dont think we need anything as far as corals. WHat are you doing on Thursday or Tue Pm. WHat frags do you want- I have green slimer, green singularia, pink anthilia, Yellow toad stool, frogspawn all ready to be brought. Let me know what you want- some of each would still be a great deal for me.
