I dropped water on my lights accidentally when i was trying to add topoff. since then they will not work. when i turn them on they just flash. they turn on for about a second and turn back off and in about 10 seconds they do it again. Its a 48in tek light. do you guys think the ballast got burned?

Are you looking to purchase new lights...? The title in combination with the actual body are a bit confusing.

Have you given the light sufficient time to dry?
How much water did you spill?
Have you taken the unit apart and checked out the internals?

You can try to replace the bulbs. One or more of them could be burnt out. Go get a couple of cheap bulbs at HD or Lowes and test them out. I had that issue with my lights

Sorry I dont know what I was thinking when i wrote this post. I dont know anything about lights, I am not sure of these lights could be fixed or I should get new ones? also if Anybody has lights for sale let me know, My tank is a 6ft 150 gallon tank. I dont want metal halides. only T5s or leds.

I am 80% they can be fixed. I had the something happened to my wife's tank and changing the bulb fixed it. Can't hurt to try.

It is most likely a bulb. When a bulb malfunctions, the whole series will flash, as there is an incomplete circuit. When a ballat goes bad, the lights will just not come on,at all.

I have a 48" 6 bulb T5 fixture if you are interested. I know it isn't 6ft, but just putting it out there.
