Need Marine Betta information

I had one for awhile, I took him back because my Hawkfish was eating all the live food I put in the tank.
They are really cool fish, when you place a ghost shrimp in the tank, it will bring its tailfin up near its head. This is to confuse the prey as it has a false eye . It stays like this for a few seconds then GULP!
I could not get mine to eat prepared food..I am sure some will
The only down side to these fish is they tend to hide in the rocks. They are supposed to be passive fish, but mine would chase my Salon Fairy Wrasse [all my fish chase that Wrasse:rolleyes: ] He also Chased off my Flame Angel, my Flame was quite mean.
I think there is an RC member who is breeding ,or trying to breed ,them

Mine just poked his head out of the rocks most of the time. I feed it shrimp, scallops, octopus, squid- seafood meant for human consumption I bought at the local megamart. Used tongs to feed it. Would eventually feed from my fingers.

alot of people love them: shy, easy going, disease resistant
as long as the fish isnt terribly small - it wont eat it.
Wont compete w/ more aggressive fish for live food as bttrgrl said.
no color morphs --some people argue that theyre is a nother species of betta w/ more finnage and smaller spots called auriga
I'd like to try one out if I ever get an aggressive tank going
