Has anyone made or bought a clean looking mesh top for a rimless locally? I saw the kit from BRS but that brown rim just kills the clean look of a rimless tank IMO. Tired of losing jumpers...

Get the mesh from BRS and the frame material from Home Depot. You can paint it whatever color you like....

No need to waste time ordering anything just go to boat owners warehouse and get a used cast net and HD like rovi said for the frame or use some clear acrylic square rods with a slit cut in them and make a frame if you want to get fancy....

If you need to put a return lock line through it just snip one thread and push it through and it will be snug all around dont snip more than one thread it will stretch.....

Theres someone on a forum for nano reefs that makes amazing looking acrylic tops for all sorts of tanks. I think his username is Smiz... Google that "Smiz acrylic tops" and you should find it.

Yeah I just got a quote from him, for my size is not cheap. And my tank is not very big.

Very easy to make ....its just some acrylic square rods glued up to size with a 1/8 x 1/8 slit in it basicly the width of the saw blade for the spline ....very easy.....
