need new skimmer

im in need of a new skimmer for my 75 gal tank i would like to get a bigger tank some day 125 is what i like to have so i would i to have something for it needs to be both hang on or sump for my tank now has no sump

It is best to have the skimmer in your sump for many different reasons. Unfortunately, you do not have a sump right now. IMO

the tank is not rr so it would cost more to put a sump on it now if someone can tell me the easy way to to put a sump on the tank it would help and the size the sump needs to be

I did get a Tunze 9010 and so far so good. I haven't quite got it fully tweaked the way I'd like but what's a tank without something to fiddle with. It is supposed to work fine hanging in the tank (without a sump), but I'm not so sure I'd do that as it doesn't surface skim, which means it wouldn't get rid of the scum layer on the top of the tank. A remora with a skimmer box would work fine, IMO, and skim the surface (good), but you'll have to keep the water level in the tank fairly constant. In a 75 that would mean not missing a day of topping off the tank. The advantage of the Tunze 9010 is that you could use it with a bigger tank, can set it up to work in sump, and it is very quiet. If you want to get something now and then sell it and get something more suited to a sump later, you could go with a remora or remora pro. I swapped out my remora for my 9010 and still have it if you want to pick one up used.

It is, oh, about maybe 10 months old or so. It is in good shape. It has the drain plug. $110 for the skimmer + the skimmer box.

if you can wait another few weeks i will be selling my euroreef from my 75. i am breaking down my tank once the 300 is cycled. it has been an awsome skimmer just wont cut it for the 300. i think it is rated for a 100gal or 110 i dont remember. best i recall its a er 6-2. i will also be selling my amiricle overflow box. the skimmer is incredible.

what are you asking for it and how old is it will the overflow work with a sump and is your 75 rr i need it sooner but i may wait for your 300 to do the fun part i love to cycle a tank if it will do like i hope it will like i said my tank is not rr

im not sure what i want for it yet. my 75 is not rr ready thats why i use the amiricle overflow box. i will keep you posted but it will most likely be around 3 or 4 weeks.
