No luck with it finding the nem yet. I had the old one in the fuge all night and finally decided just to see how they'd do together so I put him back in and within 5 min he started biting and chasing the new one again. So hes back in the fuge for a few days this time.

I still think that you should trade the old one for a new, smaller one.

That'll be my last option. I like the old one. Hes got a lot of character for a fish. Plus my luck I'll trade him in, then both new ones will die. Maybe I'll just get another new one and the old one will become the new frag tank king. I could always trade him in for credit later if both newbies work out.

I would get a smaller clown. I have had success with the rearranging of the landscape but it doesn't always work.

Thought I'd toss out an update. I had the old one in the sump for about 4 days and then put him in with new new one in the DT. They were fine for about an hour, then slight slight aggression started, but since the new one was in there alone for a few days (still never noticed the BTA) he did his twitch dance a few times and the aggression seemed to stop. They would both do the territorial twitch here or there for the next few hours. After that, the old one found his BTA and was happy. They have both been completely fine together since. The new one sleeps somewhere else and the old one gets his BTA. They'll swim together nicely here or there, but about half of the time they are separate. Seems like it all worked out pretty good. Too bad they wont pair up and host together, at least not yet, but at least they are completely fine together now.

They will probably end up pairing with each other. I have always heard that once they turn female, they can't turn back. I'll have to research that I guess.
I'm glad they stopped fighting because any more may cause one or both to get ich from stress, and you definitely don't want that.

As of today they are both hosting in the same BTA so all is looking absolutely perfect now. So happy to finally have a pair in the same anemone again
