Don't you need power heads with a wavemaker?I know people had a ton of success before they existed but I prefer wavemakers over regular powerheads. So if u want cheap I would go with a couple jabeos. I had a couple of PP 4's in my 40 breeder for a while & they were about perfect. Once my sps started to fill in I felt like I needed a little more flow so I added a cp-25. So I have 2 pp 4's & a cp-25 in my 40 breeder. I do have to keep the cp 25 turned way down. I like the flow options of the controllable wavemakers rather then the regular on or off powerheads
It's terminology.
When someone says Powerhead, this is usually what is pictured:

But some people still call wavemakers powerheads.
And then there is me.. when I hear the word wavemaker I think of the Tunze Comline Wavebox 6208 for example.
The above are all just powerheads with different ways to spit the water out. I am probably wrong though!
Yeah the bottom pic is what I call power heads. I was thinking a wavemaker is the longer bar type that goes on one side near topIt's terminology.
