Need product recommendation - GFO Reactor

I have been using an Avast Marine media reactor for my GFO for a while now. My tank volume is 450g's so I use around 4 cups of GFO material (the high capacity kind from BRS).

My problem with this reactor is that with this much media it clumps together and hardens like cement. I could add more flow to prevent this, but it blows around too hard and ultimately the media comes out the top.

Is there a GFO reactor that anyone can recommend that is suitable for 4 cups of media?

Can you not just get another reactor of the same type and run 2 cups in one and 2 cups in the other?

Space is somewhat of an issue, but yes, this would work. I think I actually have a second one already.

Mainly just wondering if there is a known product that already works stand-alone so that I can consolidate.

I use an old vertex reactor that works well but they don't make it anymore. With that much media your going to want a short and fat reactor. Id take a look at mrc or getting one custom made with better deminsions.

Check out this thread, not sure if you've seen it but I'm documenting a reactor I put together that uses lanthanum chloride to remove phosphates. It doesn't require much maintenance and has super cheap operating costs...
