I'm looking to purchase a 48x30x20 tank+ 40g sump and am wondering which skimmer you think I should go with. The tank will be SPS dominated.
I had my heart set on a Warner Marine K-2 cone skimmer. However, my local LFS has an ATB Econo 840 cone skimmer on sale right now for a pretty nice price.
Both of these are great skimmers but I believe the K-2 is more efficient in pulling more air.
My dilemma is should I just get the ATB and use the savings on other equipment or should I get the K-2 since it's the lates and greatest (?) I want to get something that will last me awhile and won't out grow.
Opinions?
