Need skimmer suggestion

I am setting up my reef again after almost 2 years. Currently I have a superskimmer 220, and I wasnt really impressed with it last time so I would like to get something new. I have a max of $300. The planned specs are:

90g reef, 40 breeder sump, 29 or 40g fuge. Mostly softies, I plan on having a derasa or squamosa clam, possibly a few LPS/SPS. Fish load is planned on the light side, thinking of a fairy wrasse, and few other smaller fish.

So what to get under $300?

I am interested to see the replies as well. Im looking for a skimmer for a 125 gallon predator tank. However on MY 90 gallon mixed reef i use the Pro Clear Aquatics 250. Its definately not a top rated skimmer on today's market by any means, however for the price you cant beat it! Mine pulls a full cup of DARK skimmate just about everyother day! It also has a drain in the collection cup if you dont want to constantly empty the cup!

The only reason i dont really want to put one on my 125 is due to the heavy bioload my tank inhabitants put on my system. It does well on my 90 reef...but mainly due to the fact that it isnt too heavily stocked.

Look into the Bubble Magus! I believe they are one of the best bang for the buck skimmers on the market!

I just put a SRO XP 1000sss on my 75 last thursday, and it seems to be working a lot better than my previous ASM-G2 and it is still breaking in. I got mine from Aquacave who offers a 5% discount to RC memebers =). No complaints so far.

Out in our neck of the woods we swear by octopus skimmers, 90 percent of our club members own an octopus skimmer of some sort ranging from old style to the newest and badest model and we all love them. now that the new models come with gate valves they are even easier to dial in. The cost may vary with the performance model but they all hold their own weight. this is just my two cents.

SWC Xtreme Cone 160 is $275, if you can find one as they are still very popular. It has to be one of the best performing and quietest skimmers around. I could not believe how quiet. And the Gate Valve is up high out of the water so that it can be dialed in without getting your hands in the water. Also, unlike the Super Reef Octopus SSS skimmers, the SWC Xtreme Cones can be taken "completely" apart to be cleaned.
