Need some advice

Okay, so I bought a 90g dual overflow tank. Going to have 6X54 T-5 retrofit Sunlight Supply lights. Will have a ASM-G3 skimmer, 40g-50g sump/fuge. I will want to keep mostly LPS, some aneomes. I will also have about 100-150 LBS live rock. Thinking Marshall Island with a little Fiji.

Fish will conist of
1.) Flame Angel
2.) 2 false perc
3.) Coral Beauty
4.) Purple Firefish
5.) Royal Gramma
And maybe some more.

But here is my problem. I have read many threads about DSB,SSB,BB. I know most of the benefits to all of them, but just need some advice.

If I go with about 1" of Oolitic sand, like Carib Sea Aragamax, grain size: 0.2-1.2 mm (sugar sized). So I would basically have an SSB, would I have any major problems with nitrates? Will an SSB with all the equipment listed above be a stable system?

I am still new, but know the debates that can arise from this, and don't want to start one, I just need some help.

Thanks for all of your constructive help and advise. Links to others threads will be okay too.

I am going to assume that the ssb is going in the main 90 gallon. Not a bad idea they look way better than a DSB IMO. 1 inch may get you some denitrification but the refugium is where you could use the DSB. Many people are doing just that. try to go for 4+ inches in the fuge. Use oolitic aragonite this will give you the benifits of the DSB. I dont have an ASM skimmer but All I ever hear is great things about them. I use an Aqua C and I am very happy with it. Live rock looks to be adequate. You can also use macro algae in the fuge. works great and helps to keep your PH stable whan the lights are out if you use a reverse cycle lighting.
sounds like a good start. Best of luck

Go with the fuge for sure this will help export nutrient.I used to have no sump in my old 90 gal and had many a problem.Stay away from the anemones. They are messy if they die.I wouldn't get one until you establish the tank. Not before 6 months at least. They do well for the most part but sometimes they die for no reson.I have had one die on me and yet I have 3.I couldn't figure it out.If they are large and they die they will pollute the water.

What bout the depth of my sand bed? Do you think 1" of the very find sand would become a "nitrate factory"? I was thinking of getting some type of goby to move some of the sand around.

Gobys are good I have one.I have 2 to 3 inches crushed coral.Don't use crushed coral.I have been running it 2 years now with no problems but its not the best substrate.I will eventually change it out.
