Need some help...got myself in trouble

I received my replacement EB8 (original had triac outlet stick on). Thought it would be simple to swap plugs power up and go. But no. A new device was assigned, so deleted old device and set programming for the new EB8 (device 5 instead of 3). That part worked fine except now I cannot control the outlets through the web interface. I have two EB8s, the second one is fine, I can control it as usual. It's just the new EB8. Status is shown fine, but I cannot change the outlet states and have it stick. As soon as I click UPDATE the status reverts back. I can make changes through the display unit and that works, and the new status is shown on the web status page.

I have reset power completely several times, did several resets via the display unit, reloaded firmware and web graphics all to no avail.

Thanks for any help. Have to go to work overnight and I am worried something is going to go haywire while I am gone:confused:.

Finally got the new EB8 to respond to the Web menu. I changed the name of one of the outlets then noticed I was able to change its status and make it stick. So, I went through all outlets on that EB8 making a slight change to all of the names. Now, it's working! If anyone can explain this I would like to hear about it. When I removed the defective EB8 I did so with the power completely off to the tank. I swapped all cables from the old to the new. When I powered everything up Module Status still showed the old EB8 as device 3, my second EB8 as 4, and the new EB8 as 5. I deleted device 3 and rebooted. Apparently even though the old EB8 was removed, the controller somehow reserved the outlet names assigned to it. This is just a guess.

It's probably more of a Curt question but for sure, the Apex can't handle duplicate outlet names, regardless of how they occured. What might have worked is doing a memory initiallize of the aquabus from the display module. In addition to rescanning the devices it will blow away the outlets and their programs. That might have worked, I don't know.
