Hi guys I am trying to set up outlets 1 and 2 on my apex to always be on. I am using apex fusion and going to the outputs page, and I see

VarSpd1_I1 base_Var1 variable
VarSpd2_I2 base_Var2 variable
VarSpd3_I3 base_Var3 variable
VarSpd4_I4 base_Var4 variable
SndAlm_I6 base_Alarm alert
SndWrn_I7 base_Warn alert
EmailAlm_I5 base_email alert

Are these corresponding to 1-8 on the Energy bar 8? I dont see a 8 here anywhere. If so do I just go into 1 and 2 and type

fallback on
set on

to have them always on? Thanks!

I'm not using Fusion, so I can't help you as far as what to look for, but no... those aren't your EB8 outlets. Those are the VS (variable speed ports) and your alarm/warning/email outlets.

You should have eight more outlets somewhere on that list. And yes... you have the correct programming for always on.

Varspd outlets are variable speed 0-10v ports used to control LED's and or 0-10v controlled pumps. If you scroll down, you will see outlets that are labeled similar to: 3_1, 3_2,3_3 or 4_1 etc. Those are EB 8 outlets. I've got 7 EB8's and my first EB8 starts with a 3. The number following the _ corresponds to the physical socket number on the EB8. So 4_2 would be outlet two on that particular EB8.

I would suggest reading this. Everything in is explained in detail including the EB8 outlets.

There is a dedicated Neptune forum here at RC. I'd strongly suggest posting your neptune related questions here.

I would also suggest registering at the official Neptune Systems forum here as there are plenty of Apex experts there as well as a dedicated Fusion section:

Hi slief, I don't see my outlets appearing at all and I dont see an option to add outlets, are the outlets supposed to show up automatically or am I supposed to manually add each one from the energy bar 8?

Also I think you posted the wrong link its leading me back to this thread

Here is a shot showing what the outlets look like in fusion. 3_ and 4_ are EB8 outlets.

You may need to update the EB8's if the software was recently updated on the Apex. You can do that from the Apex LCD display. Go to the Setup Menu. Then select module setup. Next select Update module and finally select your EB8.

Before doing that, try dragging down in the Fusion screen and if all else fails, log in to the Apex from your home network using the IP address of your Apex and checking the outlet setup pull downs to see if your can see your EB8's..

I was having the same issue. The EB8 outlets were not showing up in Fusion or the older interface. I Googled my problem and came across a link to this post. Updated my EB8 as slief recommended and BOOOMM there they are Thanks !!!!!!
I contacted Neptune support via e-mail and they asked for a screen shot of my outputs. I provided this and have not heard back as of yet.

Hey guys.
Hate to bring up an old thread, but I'm stuck here. Big time!
I can't see my eb6 on fusion, or the dashboard. I can even see it to update it on my controller!
BUT i have my modules plugged into it and working!
I have no idea what to do

The only problem I have ever had with Apex is the energy bar. I think it may be the weak link of the system. You may need to write it off. Firmware update or some sort of shut down and reset? Not sure if you would lose your settings.

Thank you sir, worked like a charm.

Open up the native web interface by typing in the controllers IP address from your local network. Go to the configuration tab and select Modules. If you scroll down, you should see a list of modules including your EB6. In the pull down tab at the top of that page, select the EB6 and once that screen opens up, select update module and then submit module change. You may need to restart your Apex.

If at that point, your browser still doesn't show the EB outlets in your dashboard, double check the unused tile pane as mentioned above. If the outlets aren't hidden in there, the clear your browsers cache.

Thank you sir, worked like a charm.

Great to hear!

Those are your variable speed ports. Your 1-8 should be something 1_1-8. There programming is correct for always on.
