need some help with my plumbing...

So, my return pump was set up on the fly, so I could get the tank started, and has one outlet in tank with flex pvc for now. I need to get it finished, and would like to have to outlets in the tank, on either side for extra flow.

I went to Menards, and it all looked like greek to me. I stood there staring at pvc for 20 minutes before I got frustrated and came home. I have no idea about this type of stuff. The research I have done tells me no reductions in size, and no 90 degree elbows. What pieces do I need to get this finished?

Who knew this could be so frustrating. :deadhorse:

I did something similar, here's what I did. I have a little more than 4 ft from sump to tank. I used about 3 ft of vinyl then put in a check followed by a t. The top of the first return unused about 1 foot more of vinyl then created a HOBish outlet(using 2 90degrees). Off the T I ran vinyl to the beginning of my sump (you could run this to the other side of your tank no problem.

While people told me not to use any hard PVC I found that using small pieces here and there helped with getting thing where I wanted them.

I will take some pics in the morning and post them. Tank is not drilled. I have a lifereef overflow and dump. Return pump is hard pvc plumbed on back of tank to the top. Then I have flex pvc going into the tank right now. The pvc is 1" diameter.

Im way down south in pekin, so I can't just ask for anyone here to come over. Lol. I had help from the guy I bought the system from but haven't been able to get together with him to finish it out. So I am trying to figure it out and get it done, but I am so lost with it.

I will take pics tomorrow and get them posted. Thanks all!
