Hello,
I am new to the saltwater hobby, and I am trying to do the most advanced research I can before I add anything. I started my tank and jumped into things way too early, and decided to take certain things back due to me not wanting to kill them! My tank is now empty and I plan on just letting my rock sit in there for about a month, while they continue to grow corraline algeas on them, and also while I do my research. Here's the deal: my neighbor gave me a 50 gallon tank, give or take a few gallons, but this isn't any normal tank. It's two hexagon acrylic tanks, about 15-19 inches deep connected by two 4 by 4 tubes joinig the two. I have plenty of water circulation in both tanks, but I only have two 36 watt lights sitting over each side. Each tank is about 25 gallons. 50/2=25. As we all know, and if you didn't know that, please don't answer my question =) I do know the lighting isn't the best for the aquarium of the size I have, I don't really wanna put out any more money to replace the lights I just bought, so with all this being said, here's my task. I want to create an environment for a clownfish, an environment just just what you would find in real life. I only want to put corals and invertabrates in that you would ind living with the clownfish in the wild. My tank stays around 80 degrees, so could anyone create a list of things that would do well in my tank that are also part of the same environment. What I guess I'm tryinto say is I wanna tank as close to real life as I can get, I also have a bunch of live rock, so maybe find some corals that don't need full light, but stuff that would be in the clownfish's natural habitat. I'm not sure if it's possible, but could an anenome go in to theta k with the lighting conditions I have, I plan on spending around 5-10k In about 5 years for a 200 gallon massive tank, with erything under the sun! So anyways if you guys could compile q list, k don't wanna get something and it fade on me, I just want it to be like real life, if you could give me the name of the invertabrates/corals so icould also do some of my own research it would be wonderful! I really appreciate all the help!
