Well tonight i tried to remove a split of my flame RBTA. We tryed the credit card tech, Ice cube tech. (for about an hour) and holding the rock he is on upside down all with no luck. Now unfortunately we ended up ripping a small part of his foot and putting a small hole in the botom of him using a power head to try to get under his foot. We had about 1/2 of his foot to come off the rock and then he just wasnt having it anymore and stopped letting go of the rock. So now im wondering if he will be okay and relocate to another tank.

Thanks for the input as always!

I would say give it some time to relax and recover before you do anything to it. Moving it to another tank will stress is more...

put it in some sort of holding bin, plastic container etc. inside your tank. watch it VERY closely for a couple of days, any signs of stress or problems, you might need to evict it. However btas are very hardy and even a cut foot shouldn't be a problem unless it gets infected. It should be fine, but keep an eye on it!
