Need some pump opinions

I have a 180g display in my living room. I'm building a 75g sump in my basement. I'll have about 12' of vertical pipe and 10' of head. I was wondering if a mag 12 would be strong enough and what size return pipe you guys recomend?

No, i dont thing a mag12 will pump that kind of head. You need a good pressure rated pump.
Im not the plumbing expert, but i would go one size bigger then the pump you choose.

I have a 180 and a 75G basement sump, 30G fuge. I use a Gen-X Mak4. Works great. Plenty of flow and some of it is T'd off to feed the fuge.

I've got a Mag 12 on my 75 and its only pushing 3.5 ft into a manifold . I run it wide open and it won't keep up with my 1200gph overflow, also remember you only get a 3/4" outlet so between that and head loss your situation will demand a pressure rated pump.

I would go with the reeflo pumps. On mind I have 1 1/2 inch out and you can tee it down or run it into a manifold.
