need something that eats zoas!

LORD REEFER

In Memoriam
I have an sps dominated tank that is turning into a nasty brown zoa dominated tank. I'm looking for something that will eat my zoanthids and not my lps or sps. I know of sundial snails and nudis but naturally when you actually want them you can't find any. Lol. Any ideas are welcome.

Some types of angels may eat them (if I remember right), look on Live Aquaria, they'll tell you why they aren't reef safe.

No need to be sorry. I said any input is appreciated. I know most fish are hit or miss when it comes to stuff like this so I just wanted to know if people have had better luck with a certain fish over another.

Something that will eat zoas, but not LPS? That is a tough order to fill. Many large angels LOVE zoas, but will likely work on LPS too. Try putting kalk past on them. I generally cringe when people think of adding fish for purposes like this.

Magnificent foxface. Not really what I want him to do, but he wiped it out and left everything else alone.

I know what you mean about adding fish for a purpose like this. I am looking for anything not necessarily a fish I am on the lookout for nudis or sundial snails.

Blue lined rabbitfish. He ate most of mine before I figured out it was him and not a crab. Left everything else alone. But rabbitfish get big. It would really depend on what size tank you have.

I just removed 3 sundials from my tank this morning. I know that doesn't help you any but those are probably your best bet

The most Zoa eating creature ive had is a Tiger Cowrie. Will also eat algae and Ive never had any problem with them touching LPS, SPS or clams. It might take it a little while but they will eat em in time.

They are nasty brown and nobody would want them.

Do they look like this?
