Ok, couple of weeks ago I lost my blue hippo tang after 5+years. I would love to replace him with same, just looking at my options. Main concern is that hair algae is coming back without him constantly nibbling. I have:
- Sailfin tang
- 2 talbots damsels
- 1 peach colored (un-identified) damsel
- 1 striped damsel
- 1 cinnamon clownfish
- 1 lawnmower blenny

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
John

Tomani tang, I have a convict tang thats cool/odd looking that nibbles all day long. Tomani would be a good choice though stays smaller. Dan usually has them in stock lately

How about a shark or a sting ray? Maybe even a dolphin!
I agree with erik about the Tomani tang. Also look at getting a lawnmower blenny.
PS. How is the rose?

on a serious note perhaps a True Japanese Swallowtail Angel a little on the pricey side but still a nice fish well worth the $$ call it a early X-mas gift for yourself.

Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming.

Tim, Rose is doing great - cinnamon clown keeping it very healthy!

John... go for a Tomini. Remember it was the Gray and Orange one in my tank!!! One of the nicer small tangs available. Hard to get though. Have Dan from Salty Critter get you one.

I'm looking at a small tang for my 72g. Was thinking the Purple, Yellow Eye Kole of the Spotted Yellow Eye Kole. Has anyone had the spotted one? More expensive but looks cooler in the pics.

The only problem I see with a rabbit fish is they get on the big sode and that may be a problem. I would stay with the lawnmower blenny. JMHO, Tim

I think the Great White sharks are strictly algae eaters. LOL!!!!

I have 9 Tangs in my tank and I agree with lawdog go with the Tomini. Its a real cool looking tang that doesnt get real big nor is agressive like the Purple tang gets. Stop by and check my tank out sometime and get some ideas if you want.
