"Need" Tables for Swap

Hey guys,

The swap location has a ton of 8' round tables available, but as it stands we are pretty short on 8' rectangular tables (the sponsors will fill these) and we have just enough 6' rectangular tables for every hobbyist. As it stands, I was planning on putting each of the clubs on an 8' round table.

I am posting to collect ideas about possibly getting some more 8' rectangular table for the hobbyists and/or the clubs. I am sure we can rent them from somewhere (we don't even need the chairs), but I wanted to post to see if anyone had a cheap/free source for more 8' (or even 6') rectangular tables.

It's not that the round tables cannot be used, but leaning over a round table all day will certainly not be good for the old back.

We need about 20 x 8' tables to get everyone on those or only 4-5 (8' or 6') to at least get everyone on rectangular tables.

If any of you know of cheap places to rent tables, feel free to post those as well.

The real table count got a bit higher in my spreadsheet than it was in my head :rolleye1:

I think my freind Bill and I may need 1/2 a table also! I am talking him into fraggin a lot from his tank to feed his habit for free next weekend!

Angela, I've got you guys down. There was still someone else who needed a half, so now I've got a buddy for them. Besides, selling even just a few frags is a great way to upgrade your tank without breaking the bank.

On the table front, I laid out a good portion of the floor plan last night and we'll have plenty of space with a good amount of room for people to roam through. I was still hoping to get everyone on rectangular tables, but I'm not seeing an outcry on this thread about the round ones (i.e., no posts), so I'm inclined to go the free, easy, and already taken care of route.

I have a couple of 6' tables that I will bring over. Also I think some people could use the round ones you could put the tanks in front and pull the stuff from the side of it.

Sounds good. I'm sure people can use round ones, but they do take up a lot more space and will probably be a little tough to work with. It's certainly not an emergency though, which is why I haven't worried about it until I had most of the rest of the swap stuff in hand.
