Need tanks drilled...

Can anyone out there recommend a good glass shop or LFS that would drill a few tanks for me? I need the back drilled on a 20L and the sides drilled on 2 10 gallon AGA tanks.

ouch, chances are it will cost more to have these tanks drilled than it did to buy them. Sorry i don't know of anyplace.

yeah, it probably will...I'm actually going to price a drill bit to do it myself...ugh...
I will add a sump, refugium, and algae scrubber to my reef, I will...

It's not that tough to drill yourself, just go 5 times slower than you think and you'll do fine. You can also check around with some local glass shops to see if they will do it. No one will guarantee that they won't break the tank that I know of.

Guess it's time to bite the bullet and just do it...at least they're small tanks, and cheap!

I've also seen it done using a dremmel and a diamond bit. I wouldn't suggest it unless you have seen it done or have some spare glass to practice on.

Thanks for the link Ken...I've been doing a bit of research already. It really doesn't sound like that big of a deal. Now I just need the bit and some time!

use a dremmel ---- get a diamond bit ---- keep it good and wet go slow --have done it plenty of times with no problem ----especially small tanks --- just remember go slow in a steady circle
