Need to Move a RBTA

My RBTA started moving around about a week ago due to a stupid move on my part. Now he won't settle in at all and is moving all over the place. He's obviously unhappy (he's not stuck in the upper right hand side of the glass right now), but I don't want to damage the foot to try to relo him into a deep rock crevice. Any suggestions on how I can get him to let go without damaging the foot? I've tried the ice trick, but it's not budging. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

this will take a long, long time, so be prepared to have lots of patience, but use your fingernail to get between the foot and glass of the tank, and just gently work your fingernail between it so the foot detacches little by little. I was at petco the other day, and the 'nem i wanted was firmly attached to a rock, but the employee let me remove it by myself, and it took about 15 mins to get it off.
