Need to move clowns close to anemone

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you for making live of noobs much-much easier :)

I have dillema. My BTA settled on one end of the tank (55G 4' long). But my clowns are hanging on the opposite side and "hosting" on top of the powerhead on the same end, rarely going out to the BTA's end.

Question how can I make them hang out on the other end of the tank more often?

Give them time.
A trick that worked for me, and I know it sounds insane, was printing out a picture of clowns hosting in an anemone and taping it to the tank so they could see it.

I know, I know...but it worked. :)

Do you think if I put up a picture of Dory and Marlin hanging out together, my blue hippo will stop chewing the fins off my clown fish?

WOW! That does sound insane ::strange: But for what it's worth, I'll try it :D

If it works, then I'll tape picture of sushi, to let everyone in tank know that they should behave :)

Thanks.

Playing off the same territorial principal, you could also place a clownfish veggie clip next to the anemone, they are only like 2 bucks at the lfs and this method has worked for me
viceversabrd

Maybe try leading the clowns toward your anemone's area during feeding time?? Kinda like the ol' horse and carrot on a stick deal.:D

What is veggie clip? Just a clip or some seaweed?

Just a clip. All plastic, many shaped like clown fish, normally used to hold sheets of nori or other vegetatation that is left in the tank for grazing.

Just curious but Clowns will actually eat seaweed? I've never seen my Maroon Clown touch it.

No, I don't think they will. Mine won't touch it. The clips are just shaped like clown fish. I guess because people think they're cute.

No, no its a clip that looks like a clown fish..That way the fish will see it by the anemone and think another fish is tring to take over..so it will what to run over and get to it first...

i was lucky with mine as i was able to move the bit of LR with the anemone on it so after an hour or so the clown had accustomed to the anemone and i slowly moved the anemone with the clown kinda protective / scared to eventually put the anemone back where it wanted to be . . . clown in tow . . .
