Hi Roger ,

The LED on my 7095 controller's moonlight went, and I need to replace it. What LED do you recommend for me to use to replace the one in the unit? I understand i will have to soldering the new LED on, i just can't see myself sending it to have the LED repaired when new LED's are under a buck .

The LED is integrated into the photocell. It is only possible to replace it as a unit. It would need to be sent in for this. Are you sure it wnet out, it is normally off for one day and very dim for a few as it simulates the lunar phases.

Yes I'm sure :( the tip that had the LED went underwater and it seems to have blown ( ?) the LED .

How much is a new photocell with moonlight ?

Here are some pics of the LED. Personally, I think the Photocell / LED design is flawed. The LED has to point down to the water, but the bracket that is included with the photocell is short, and is supposed to mount to the aquariums trim. Either the LEDs should be water proof, or the bracket should be taller. Well enough of my rant, seems the inside of the photocell is silicon and not acrylic, that would make switching the LED possible. Roger, is there any way you can find out what type of LED is used for the moonlight ?

Same problem here, already replaced the whole lot once. So far I measure max 5V and below of course on green/yellow, so gonna try 6v LED, split the cable and remote the LED, so not disturbing the light sensor
Luck
