It isn't possible the cords come in the standard 2m length only. The 6101 has a 5m (16ft) cord.

Any reason an extension cable could not be made or the wires spliced to make a longer one? Personally I would like shorter wires. I am guessing splicing or shortening the wires would void the warranty.

To make a reliable waterproof splice is extremely difficult. It does void the warranty.
