I was shopping at Western Beef on University and Pines and came across what I think a bunch of people could use.
I am not sure how many gallons but it is definitely upwards of 55g or more.

I have access to some 15 gallons that I can get from work if anyone needs them. Ill start another post with a picture.

Thanks for the heads up, Bmanzie! I bought one, and this thing is ginormous! I'm pretty sure it could fit Steve, me, and the dog inside, and still have some room leftover.

It measures approximately 22 inches across and 48 inches high, which gives a volume of about 75 gallons. (If anyone needs more exact measurements, just let me know)

Ok, so my next question is... how do I clean out this thing so that its ok to store my RO/DI in? It's got a little bit of a smell inside, but its clean to the touch. Vinegar and water? How much vinegar? Or something else?

that is a hella price for a huge barrel!!! wish i had a spot to put one of these bad boys!

I am glad you guys are all finding a good use for these. I am going to purchase two myself and update my water mixing station.

johannes - I may have to take your offer but not at the moment. I was cheated out of money recently and I won't be able to buy anything for a little while... sigh.

I'm not sure if I can help you out much with tips but you can ask anytime.

bmanzie - thank you sir, I know where it is now. Also, were you able to figure out how much water it actually stores?

Great find. Thanks I got one, but it has a strong odor that is not plastic but something they must have used to clean it, Used a gallon of vinager but it didnt help much. Its larger than a 55 gl drum, and rigid.
